Audit your Time.

Reclaim it.

Time is our most valuable resource and it’s not infinite - we do not know when we are going to die. I actually wrote out my will. I signed it thinking, this legal document is what happens when I go.

What will I have left as the legacy of what I’ve achieved? I want that to be epic.

When you actually think about that - it gives context to what you really should put your energy towards.

Is holding a grudge or spending time in anger, anxiety or fear worth it? It helps me re-arrange my emotions, because I want to prioritize the feelings of fulfillment, connection & laughter.

I like to have as much time as possible spending it doing things that make me happy.

I aim to create balance in my lifestyle to maintain balance & create not only peace for my mind but still enjoy the journey of growth & freedom.

All that means is I dislike wasting time on shit that doesn’t serve my higher goals. This applies across not only my work but just in any interactions. And this is something you should think about too.

Where your time is going? I want you to try a time audit, and map out your ideal day & adjust what you are exchanging your time for so you can get back more hours. Here’s how:

Try a Time Audit. Have a look at how you are spending your week. Are there days you feel totally drained and what is the root cause of that. Is it connected to the amount of work you have, or does it feel connected to the lack of lifestyle balance. Would you want to get outside more often but feel trapped in the office or at home?

Map out what your ideal week looks like - from the moment you wake up to just before going to bed. It doesn’t have to be scheduled out but include ideal situations, who you are with or how you feel. Are you enjoying family company, are you watching sunset.

Once you establish a vision of how you spend your day, you start to make it happen.

You might begin to be more specific about what and even who you are spending your time on.

That’s 2 elements to adjust:

  1. Who are you involved with, do these people in your circle help you grow as a person? Do you feel energized and happy after you speak?

  2. What are you spending your time on? And do you like it? Does it fulfill a need that feels good to you? Do you wish you had more time on other things.

Zoom out and understand what are you exchanging your time for?

Is it the annual salary you have an agreement for. Do you feel as though you could have that and still optimize your time to have more output?

I am big on reclaiming hours in the day. & It’s easy for anyone to do now especially with all the support that available now through tech and AI tools.

How I even started my business was I optimized my work scheduled while I was at the agency. I made sure I smashed the work within the projects I was responsible for. But that was 8 hours, with my startup attitude and my efficiency, I could easily compact that down into 3 hours. So the rest of the time you can allocate that into a side hustle or just putting that elsewhere.

See it as you are still doing the work of what you could normally do in 8, not slacking on ur responsibilities but just optimizing your time so you can double up the output of work.

Is this something you would try out? Let me know if that sounds intriguing to you.
